Compensation and Benefits
Base salary: $110,000-$150,000

A New York insurance organization is hiring a Commercial Insurance Risk Advisor to oversee risk-management work for construction accounts. This is an in-person role for someone who can review insurance requirements, assess subcontractor coverage, and manage claims without losing the client-service details.
About the Role
This role sits between insurance analysis, construction risk, claims coordination, and client service. The advisor will have meaningful ownership and regular contact with brokers, adjusters, insurers, subcontractors, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Review contractual insurance requirements and recommend appropriate coverage language.
- Evaluate subcontractor policies and certificates for limits, exclusions, and compliance with client requirements.
- Manage day-to-day communication with brokers, adjusters, and insurers on risk and claims issues.
- Review and manage incoming New York construction claims from initial notice through follow-up.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of commercial or construction insurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty coverage, including construction risks.
- Active property and casualty insurance license.
- Clear written and verbal communication, independent judgment, and disciplined follow-up.
- Experience with AMS is helpful but not required.
