Compensation and Benefits
Base salary: $120,000-$200,000
Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity

Schedule: Hybrid in New York, Monday through Friday, with periodic West Coast travel
A New York structured-credit investment firm is seeking a Business Development Investment Product Specialist to help grow its West Coast institutional business. The platform focuses on CLO strategies and serves endowments, foundations, pension plans, family offices, and wealth-management firms.
About the Role
The product specialist will connect investment knowledge with business development. The role is a fit for someone who can earn investor trust, explain a complex strategy without unnecessary jargon, and coordinate a disciplined path from first conversation to diligence.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with institutional prospects and qualified intermediaries across the West Coast.
- Explain the investment strategy, portfolio approach, and product fit in meetings and presentations.
- Coordinate diligence requests and follow-up with investment, investor-relations, operations, and compliance teams.
- Use the CRM to maintain an accurate pipeline, next steps, and market intelligence.
- Represent the firm at selected conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Three or more years in fundraising, financial-services sales, investor relations, or investment-product distribution.
- Strong knowledge of institutional client expectations and the ability to learn structured credit.
- Clear presentation, relationship-development, and written follow-up skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Professional judgment suitable for a regulated investment environment.
