Base salary: $145,000 – $315,000+

Day to day, the person in this position will analyze complex records and legal frameworks, write persuasively, and guide clients through agency, court, or public-sector processes. Responsibilities

  • Research statutes, regulations, precedent, administrative records, and jurisdiction-specific procedure.
  • Draft briefs, motions, comments, submissions, contracts, or advisory materials.
  • Prepare for hearings, appeals, negotiations, investigations, or agency interaction.
  • Explain legal and procedural risk clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Take ownership of assigned matters and keep clients and supervising attorneys informed about deadlines, risk, and next steps.

Required Qualifications

  • Government, regulatory, appellate, environmental, public-finance, or related litigation experience.
  • Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing.
  • Comfort with detailed records, procedural rules, and complex legal questions.
  • Active or eligible state bar admission for attorney roles.
  • Ability to use feedback, work effectively with supervision, and take on greater ownership as proficiency grows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the employer’s practice area, matter type, and local court or transaction process.
  • Comfort using modern legal research, document, case-management, or billing systems.
  • Examples of work completed directly, including the tools, matters, patients, projects, or decisions involved.
