Base salary: $75,000 – $195,000+
Location: Houston, TX
Employment: Full Time
Work arrangement: Primarily on-site in Houston, TX. Patient hours, call, weekends, and administrative time depend on the care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and document care accurately.
  • Perform medical and surgical services appropriate to training and the practice model.
  • Explain options, prognosis, cost, and follow-up needs with empathy and clarity.
  • Partner with technicians, assistants, referral providers, and practice leadership.
  • Build dependable working relationships with patients, providers, and support staff while meeting documentation and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent degree with active or eligible state licensure.
  • Clinical judgment appropriate to the species, caseload, and services offered.
  • Strong client communication and collaborative team habits.
  • Commitment to humane, evidence-informed care and reliable follow-through.
  • Ability to use feedback, work effectively with supervision, and take on greater ownership as proficiency grows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable care setting or patient population.
  • Current role-specific certifications and familiarity with modern clinical documentation systems.
  • Examples of work completed directly, including the tools, matters, patients, projects, or decisions involved.
