Compensation and Benefits

Experienced Litigation Attorney Job in Portland, Maine

Hire Innovative is conducting a confidential search for a seasoned Maine-barred litigation attorney. The attorney must be ready to step into an active practice, take ownership of a caseload, and begin contributing with minimal ramp-up time.

Personal injury or medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred, but it is not required for a candidate with strong litigation and case-management experience.

What You Will Handle

• Take ownership of an active litigation caseload.
• Set case strategy and move matters forward on schedule.
• Manage client communication, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Work with the legal team while managing matters with substantial independence.
• Contribute to the practice and begin generating revenue with minimal ramp-up time.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Maine Bar admission in good standing.
• Seasoned litigation and case-management experience.
• Ability to take ownership of an active caseload and contribute immediately.
• Strong legal writing, client communication, negotiation, and litigation-management skills.
• Personal injury or medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred but not required.
