Base salary: $125,000 – $290,000+

The successful candidate will develop facts, write clearly, and move civil matters through discovery, negotiation, motion practice, and trial preparation. Day to day, the person in this position will develop facts, write clearly, and move civil matters through discovery, negotiation, motion practice, and trial preparation. Responsibilities
- Assess facts, claims, defenses, damages, procedural posture, and client objectives.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, correspondence, and settlement materials.
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Manage deadlines and communicate practical recommendations to clients and supervising attorneys.
- Take ownership of assigned matters and keep clients and supervising attorneys informed about deadlines, risk, and next steps.
Required Qualifications
- Civil-litigation experience aligned with the practice and seniority of the role.
- Strong research, writing, case organization, and oral communication.
- Practical judgment about strategy, cost, risk, and resolution.
- Active or eligible state bar admission for attorney roles.
- Ability to manage priorities independently and communicate early when a decision or resource is needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the employer’s practice area, matter type, and local court or transaction process.
- Comfort using modern legal research, document, case-management, or billing systems.
