Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $90,000-$150,000

A structured-credit investment firm in New York is hiring a Capital Raising Specialist to expand relationships with institutional investors across the West Coast. The firm focuses on CLO strategies and works with endowments, foundations, public and private pension plans, family offices, and wealth-management platforms.

About the Role

This is a relationship-led fundraising role inside a small investment firm with substantial assets under management. The specialist will combine direct outreach, existing contacts, the firm’s database, and selective events to build a durable institutional pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage institutional prospects through personal relationships, targeted outreach, and the firm’s database.
• Represent the firm with West Coast investors and at relevant conferences or networking events.
• Prepare and deliver clear presentations on the firm’s investment products and strategy.
• Partner with investor relations, marketing, operations, and compliance to move opportunities forward.
• Track market activity, competitor positioning, investor feedback, and next steps in the CRM.

Qualifications

• Two to ten or more years in asset-management sales, investor relations, fundraising, or capital raising.
• Existing West Coast relationships or a credible plan to develop the region.
• Strong presentation, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Comfort with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, travel, and measurable fundraising goals.
