Work arrangement: Primarily on-site in San Diego, CA. Patient hours, call, weekends, and administrative time depend on the care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and complete care responsibilities within the position’s licensed scope.
  • Document changes, interventions, medications, and follow-up needs accurately.
  • Coordinate with providers, nursing colleagues, support staff, patients, and families.
  • Help the unit or practice maintain safe handoffs, consistent standards, and dependable coverage.
  • Build dependable working relationships with patients, providers, and support staff while meeting documentation and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Active or eligible license for the nursing level required by the role.
  • Clinical experience that matches the patient population and care setting.
  • Reliable assessment, documentation, escalation, and communication habits.
  • A calm, team-oriented approach during busy or changing conditions.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently and communicate early when a decision or resource is needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable care setting or patient population.
  • Current role-specific certifications and familiarity with modern clinical documentation systems.
