Remote Personal Injury Litigation Attorney Job in Iowa
Hire Innovative is conducting a confidential search for an Iowa-licensed plaintiff attorney who can manage personal injury cases from filing through resolution. This is a full-time remote position for an attorney who lives in Iowa and can take ownership of an active litigation calendar. Qualified candidates will receive the employer identity and available interview details before they decide whether to proceed.
The Work
- Assess liability, damages, medical records, insurance coverage, and case value.
- Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, settlement demands, and litigation correspondence.
- Take and defend depositions and represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel while preparing each case for trial when necessary.
- Maintain clear client communication and manage court, discovery, and internal deadlines.
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and other legal support staff throughout each matter.
Required Experience
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Iowa Bar admission in good standing.
- Current residence in Iowa.
- At least three years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
- Hands-on experience with discovery, depositions, negotiations, case strategy, and litigation deadlines.
- Strong legal writing, judgment, organization, and client-communication skills.
- Ability to manage an active caseload with limited day-to-day supervision in a remote environment.
Useful Practice Background
Experience that covers both pre-litigation and filed cases is preferred. Relevant matters can include motor vehicle collisions, trucking claims, premises liability, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, or mass torts. Trial experience is helpful but is not required.
