Remote Personal Injury Litigation Attorney Job in New York
Hire Innovative is conducting a confidential search for a full-time Personal Injury Litigation Attorney who will work remotely from New York. This attorney will manage a plaintiff-side personal injury caseload from filing through settlement, trial, or verdict. The employer identity will be shared with qualified candidates during the recruiting process.
What You Will Handle
- Evaluate personal injury claims and analyze liability, damages, and case strategy.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Manage cases from filing through settlement, trial, or verdict.
- Take and defend depositions and represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
- Prepare witnesses, exhibits, motions, and trial materials.
- Give clients clear updates and practical legal guidance throughout each matter.
- Work with attorneys and legal support staff to move cases forward on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
- Current residence in New York.
- At least three years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
- Experience with personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, negotiations, and case preparation.
- Ability to manage deadlines and an active caseload in a remote work environment.
- Strong legal writing, analysis, negotiation, and client-communication skills.
- Trial experience is helpful but is not required.
Preferred Experience
The employer prefers attorneys who have handled both pre-litigation and litigation work. Experience with motor vehicle claims, trucking claims, premises liability, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, or mass torts can be useful. A stable work history is preferred. The employer will consider explained career gaps.
