About the Role
The role combines patient contact with an organized remote schedule and direct support for clinicians delivering virtual care. Day to day, the person in this position will prepare virtual visits, collect accurate patient information, and keep follow-up moving after the clinician leaves the call. Responsibilities
- Complete pre-visit outreach, medication reconciliation, history updates, and record collection.
- Confirm technology readiness and help patients enter virtual visits successfully.
- Process orders, referrals, forms, scheduling requests, and follow-up tasks under approved workflows.
- Route clinical questions and urgent symptoms promptly to licensed staff.
- Build dependable working relationships with patients, providers, and support staff while meeting documentation and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant training or certification preferred, with experience in an ambulatory or telehealth setting.
- Confident patient communication by phone, portal, and video.
- Accurate electronic-health-record and protected-information handling.
- Ability to work independently while staying within the Medical Assistant scope.
- Ability to use feedback, work effectively with supervision, and take on greater ownership as proficiency grows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a comparable care setting or patient population.
- Current role-specific certifications and familiarity with modern clinical documentation systems.
- Examples of work completed directly, including the tools, matters, patients, projects, or decisions involved.
