Base salary: $155,000 – $350,000+

About the Role

This role offers flexible virtual patient care, focused clinical decision-making, and support from a team that coordinates in-person follow-up when needed. Day to day, the person in this position will assess dental concerns remotely, identify urgency, and guide patients to the right next step without presenting virtual care as a substitute for needed hands-on treatment. The employer will confirm permitted work locations, core collaboration hours, travel, equipment, and performance expectations before formal interviews begin. The interview process will cover team structure, workload, success measures, and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, symptoms, photographs, radiographs, and available dental records.
• Conduct permitted video or asynchronous consultations and document findings clearly.
• Explain home-care guidance, treatment options, urgency, and when an in-person examination is required.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with general dentists, specialists, and patient-support staff.
• Build dependable working relationships with patients, providers, and support staff while meeting documentation and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree with an active license in at least one approved work state.
• Experience diagnosing common dental conditions and recognizing urgent or emergent concerns.
• Clear virtual communication, accurate documentation, and sound referral judgment.
• Working knowledge of telehealth privacy, informed-consent, and state practice requirements.
• Ability to manage priorities independently and communicate early when a decision or resource is needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a comparable care setting or patient population.
• Current role-specific certifications and familiarity with modern clinical documentation systems.
