About the Role

Day to day, the person in this position will make efficient, evidence-based decisions for unscheduled patients while recognizing when a condition needs emergency or specialty care. The team needs someone who can handle a fast interview process, communicate directly, and evaluate the opportunity against New York compensation and commute realities. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses, minor injuries, and other appropriate walk-in concerns.
  • Order and interpret available diagnostics within the clinic’s scope.
  • Perform office procedures suited to training, privileges, and patient need.
  • Document clearly and give patients practical follow-up, return, and escalation instructions.
  • Build dependable working relationships with patients, providers, and support staff while meeting documentation and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with active or eligible state licensure.
  • Board eligibility or certification in a relevant primary, emergency, or urgent-care specialty.
  • Confident independent judgment across a varied same-day patient mix.
  • Efficient documentation and calm communication during high-volume periods.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently and communicate early when a decision or resource is needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable care setting or patient population.
  • Current role-specific certifications and familiarity with modern clinical documentation systems.
